Matt's Touring Experience

Throughout 2005-2007, a life-long dream was turned into a reality when Matt had the chance to tour with progressive rock band BlueFire. The band has recently undergone a line-up change and the name has been changed as well to Sacred 13.

In BlueFire, Matt and company toured the east coast of the USA and made it out as far as San Francisco. Highlights include playing all the clubs in NYC, including CBGB literally a week before the doors closed forever! Aside from fun clubs in Buffalo, NYC, Cleveland, western PA, Matt has lugged the drums up to Canada, Boston and again NYC with award-winning high school jazz and symphonic bands back in the day.

Playing in front of diverse audiences in several musical genres inspires and educates Matt. "There's nothing like pulling off a great performance in front of a responsive, excited group of people, no matter what kind of music, no matter how many people."

The DW 9002PC Double Pedal is just what you need for reaction and speed. To create incredibly smooth, gravity-defying action, the 9000's Floating Rotor is not permanently affixed on a conventional drive shaft but is mounted on a free-floating drive shaft using friction-reducing ball-bearings.
