Though Matt doesn't claim to be a "drumming guru," he does consider himself a "drum guru," in the sense that he is obsessed with the instrument itself; the latest gear, vintage drums, restoration, drum history, and so on.
Matt is currently off the road and working on a web project called The Drum Site. The website will portray Matt's love and obsession with the drums. The site features information and articles on drum sets, custom drums, vintage drums, snare drums, cymbals and percussion instruments. There is a lot of product comparison as well as product reviews. "The Roland V-Drums are absolutely incredible! I sit down behind one familiar set-up and have 50 drum kits at my disposal. Each instrument is fully editable -from the size of the room to the microphone position to the size of the drums and cymbals, tuning, drumhead changes, and all of the cool audio stuff in the studio, like compression, delay, reverb, eq, and so on. And the best part is, with mesh heads and rubber rim silencers, I can play at 4:00 in the morning with out bothering my wonderful neighbors!"
